The SBQS Story
SBQS started in 2007 in Toronto, as Small Business Quality Solutions. We got our start through the Self-Employment Benefit Program (OSEB), offered by the Government of Ontario, which helped shape our first business plan.
In the early years, we focused on web design, SEO, hosting, and domain registration for small businesses across Canada.
In 2013, we moved the business to Calgary.
In 2018, we incorporated as SBQS Ltd., moving from a sole proprietorship to a limited company. That same year, we expanded into accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax filing. It has been our main service ever since.
Today, SBQS Ltd. serves small businesses in Calgary and the surrounding area.
In 2026, we added SBQS IT Care to our services.
Almost 20 years in, one thing hasn’t changed: helping small businesses get the support they need to run well.

About Mona Kabir
Mona Kabir is a QBO Certified QuickBooks professional, with a diploma in accounting from Centennial College (2008), an Advanced Certificate in Web Development from Humber College (2010), and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. She has spent her career guiding clients through complex tax situations, ensuring compliance while maximizing refunds and credits. She stays up-to-date through regular workshops and training on the latest laws and accounting practices.
